Sunday Night

Hi There!

Unfortunately, I don't have a new card to post tonight but I have a good reason. I've been working all evening and some of the afternoon on creating a store on Etsy.com. If you are unfamiliar with Etsy, head on over there! It's a great site that has anything and everything handmade and vintage. You can spend many, many hours looking at it and never see the same thing twice.

So, if you've got a few minutes, head on over to my new Etsy Store. Please leave me a comment on my blog and tell me what you think!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Take Care!

Just Monkey-ing Around

Hi again,

My 2nd card for tonight is one that I have to say, I absolutely love. That monkey is so darned cute! And don't even get me started on the banana which I've nicknamed "Peel". Don't ask me why, I'm a little "bananas" myself (sorry, I had to say it).

All of the stamps used are from Hero Arts, including the Bananas For You Set and the Fanciful Swirl Alphabet set. I colored everything using either Copics or Prismacolor colored pencils.

Thanks for stopping by!

Best Wishes Butterflies

Good Evening Everyone!

I have 2 cards for tonight. I love having time off from work to create! I have the next 2 days off too and I'm sure I will have more cards to post soon.

The first card uses a few different stamps. The first few stamps are from Hero Arts. The tree is from the Just A Note Bird set, the flowers are from the You're The Best set, the butterflies are digi from the Winged Friends set and the sentiment is from the Small Greetings set. The grass is a stamp from A Muse. I then added some bling on the flowers and voila!

I hope you enjoy it!

Thank You Kelly Marie!

The wonderful Kelly Marie Alvarez at LawnFawn sent me a wonderfully cute stamp set for being a winner on one of her blog contests. The name of the set is "Just My Type" and I think it's adorable.

Head on over to her site or her blog. You won't be disappointed!

So, for the card, the sentiment, phone and tack are from the "Just My Type" set and I took pages from a phone book (yes, they still exist!) and used Ranger Distress Ink Tea Dye to the edges. I finished off with a polka dot ribbon.

Enjoy!

Have A Wonderful Day!

Happy Friday everyone!

Ok, it's not Friday yet for most people but it's "my" Friday! I have tomorrow off and I'm extremely excited to have 4 days off!

Tonight's card is one I made for the Card Patterns Weekly Sketch Blog challenge for sketch #65.

The tulips are a Hero Arts free digi stamp from Two Peas in a Bucket and the branch is also from Hero Arts - the Fanciful Swirl Alphabet set. The sentiment stamp isn't marked so I don't know what company made it and the birdhouse is from Crate Paper.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! If you are in or from the U.S., Happy Memorial Day and everywhere else, just, Happy Day!

I'll be posting more cards this weekend. :)

Dragonfly Birthday

Hi Everyone!

Today's card is one I made for a friend to give to her mother for her birthday next week. She said she really liked dragonflies so this is what I came up with.

The dragonflies are from the Hero Arts digi set, Winged Friends and the different colored flowers are from the Sweet Owls clear set. I colored the poppies and small flowers with Copics and the flower stems and dragonflies with Prismacolor colored pencils. The background paper is from Memory Box and I used Ranger Distress Ink in Broken China as well.

Enjoy!

Mmmmm... Latte!

A very nice friend at work gave me a great present today - a new stamp! It's from Studio G and I used it in this card I'm going to give her. (Thanks Julia!)

I also used polka dot paper from Memory Box and for the sentiment I used the Fanciful Swirl Alphabet from Hero Arts. I can also use this as a submission to the latest contest (Sketch #64) at the Card Patterns Weekly Sketch Blog which I really enjoy looking at often because there are SO many talented ladies on there which gives me tons of inspiration!

Have a great night!

One Last Sunday Card

The last one is an example of my first time using a stamp of a person. I think this little girl is so sweet and she just looked like she should be holding a flower and saying something sweet. I used the Hero Arts You're The Best set and the Fanciful Swirl Alphabet.

Enjoy!

Another Sunday Card

The next card I made today (and the previous cupcake one which can be submitted for the Hero Arts contest as well) is for the May contest over at the Hero Arts Blog - http://heroarts.com/blogs/club/

The one is for the Father's Day theme. I used stamps from the Hero Arts sets Fanciful Swirl Alphabet and Sweet Owls.

Card Sunday

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!

I made 3 cards today and I'm pretty happy with each one. There was a purpose behind each one, so let's get to it.

The first one is for the challenge over at the Card Patterns blog - http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/ it was for sketch #64.

The stamps I used are from the Cupcakes set from Hero Arts.

Hippos and Flowers

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by. I have 2 new cards to post. One I made tonight and one last night.

First up, I think I'll call this one "Thank You Flowers". I used a few different elements here and I like how it turned out.

The Details:
Sentiment - HA Small Greetings
Smallest flowers - HA Sweet Owls
Larger flowers - Inkadinkado Doodle Flowers and Studio G

The next card is one I've been wanting to make for awhile but I didn't have the right stamps, all I had was the raindrops! I knew I wanted a hippo and a bird but the umbrella worked well too. So, I tied it all together and this is what I came up with.

The Details:
Hippo and Umbrella stamps - A Muse Artstamps
Sentiment - HA Pixie Letters Lowercase

Thanks for visiting!

Thinking of Butterflies

Happy Mother's Day everyone! I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing day even if you aren't a mom. I'm mom to a furry dog and adoptive mom to another one. For these reasons, I feel like I can have a little reason to be thought of as a mom. ;)

I made this card 2 nights ago, just because. I love doing the butterflies, especially coloring them (the cutting out part I'm not a big fan of!) but I always enjoy how they turn out. The background is paper that I just discovered by Memory Box. I love all of their papers and really would like to get some of their stamps at some point.

The Details:
HA Digi Butterflies from Winged Friends
Sentiment from HA Singing Birds set
background paper from Memory Box

Have a great day!

Some Last-Minute Cards

A co-worker asked me to make a graduation card for her daughter whose nickname is "Tula". I really like how this one turned out but I must admit it's because I absolutely love the Hero Arts digi butterflies.

The Details:
Butterfly: Hero Arts Winged Friends colored with colored pencils
Sentiment: Hero Arts Pixie Letters Lowercase

This is a last-minute Mother's Day card I made for a co-worker. I think I like how it turned out, I'm not exactly sure. I wasn't positive about what to put in the upper left corner because I had already placed the flowers but I think the butterfly works.

The Details:
Butterfly stamp: Hampton Art (Floral Butterfly)
Flowers-punched
Sentiment: Hero Arts Pixie Letters Lowercase

I went to AC Moore tonight (armed with a 40% coupon - I love those!) knowing I needed (ok, wanted) something but not sure what. I ended up getting some Ranger stamp cleaner and picked up a Prismacolor colored pencil. All I can say is wow! this pencil is amazing! I'm glad I was able to just get one at a time because I didn't want to plunk down a lot of money for a set. I tried a few of the Derwent brand colored pencils a few weeks ago and while they are pretty good, these are amazing compared to them. I dread looking up the price of a set but I'm going to take a deep breath and check soon.

Have a good night!

Tuesday Night (and I'm feelin' alright!)

Hi everyone! It's Tuesday and I don't have too much to report. Today was a pretty easy day at work, not especially eventful. I did have a nice thing happen toward the end of the day though. I realized a manager that I'm friends with also shares my passion for stamping. We were so excited to discuss it! So now I have a new partner in crime. Hooray!

I think I'll be ordering a couple things tonight before I head off to bed. I've been looking everywhere locally for Memento's Tuxedo Black ink and can't find it. I'm also really leaning toward the HA Magical Castle Poly Clear set. I saw the princess with the wand on the HA blog today and fell in love with her which is surprising because that's not usually my style but she's the cutest!

I also saw this HA Sparkle Clear Cupcakes set and knew I had to "feed" my new cupcake stamping habit (I know, BAD pun!).

So, I'm off to do some ordering. Have a great night and I'll be posting some new cards soon.
