A Happy Birthday

I just made this for a co-worker's birthday. I used a few different stamps including:

Hero Arts Decorative Birds
Hero Arts Sweet Owls
Inkadinkado sentiment

The Sweet Owls set is a clear set and while I've really preferred woodblock, I'm really enjoying my first clear set. The quality of the Hero Arts clear stamps are just as precise as the woodblock, which I was surprised about.

I'm really enjoying my new technique for using the Tim Holtz Distress Inks - the blender tool. I'm sure a lot of people use it but I just got one and love it!

The Details:
Tea Dye Distress Ink
HA Sweet Owls (clear set)
HA Decorative Birds
A Little Bird Told Me... sentiment

Colored with Copics and colored pencils.

A New Technique and A Favorite Card

I just made this card using a whole bunch of my favorite Hero Arts Stamps:
Winged Friends (digi)
Friendship Definition (digi)
Thank You Note set
Small Greetings Stencil Prints

I also used a new technique I learned for the Ranger Distress Inks (I used Tea Dye) using the Ranger Blending Tool. I think this might just be my new favorite thing!

The Beginning

blog
Function: noun
Etymology: short for Weblog
Date: 1999
: a Web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments, and often hyperlinks provided by the writer; also : the contents of such a site
— blog·ger noun
— blog·ging noun

I’ve written a few blogs in my time, only to eventually stop and not want to write in it any further. I think part of the problem was I would re-read it periodically and would hate what I wrote because it was personal and probably things I didn’t want to revisit for one reason or another. I’m not really sure.

So, I thought it would be a good idea to start another one and make it mainly about my new love of stamping and card making and perhaps throw some personal stuff in here and there.

Welcome to my world. It ain’t bad here.
