Friends
Hi Everyone!
It's been a few days since I've posted because it was a busy weekend. My husband got sick over the weekend with some nasty stomach thing and then I started getting it yesterday. I spent the day doing a lot of nothing but I'm doing quite a bit better now.
Before my husband got too sick, we were able to enjoy (ok, mainly me) some things in NYC. I went to The Ink Pad. I was completely and utterly amazed at the amount of woodblock stamps they have. It's a small store but they fit A LOT in it! If you are in the NYC area and can stop over there, it's an absolute must! I also headed over to the Apple Store and got a new Mac Mini. I'm in heaven with it already and can't wait to feel better so I can enjoy it more.
I figured I would be somewhat productive tonight and make a card. I did the one card for 2 challenges. The first challenge is over at Cardpatterns. It's for sketch #70.
The 2nd challenge is over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge blog. The only rules is that it has to be about friends. I thought this wonderful digi stamp from digistampcharacters would work perfectly. I also used a digi stamp from HA for the butterfly from the Winged Friends set and the sentiment is from the HA Fanciful Swirl Alphabet set.
I hope you like it. I'll be making some more tomorrow night and I'll get them up soon.

Butterfly Meadow
Hi again!
My 2nd card tonight also uses butterflies from HA's Winged Friends digi set. I typed the sentiment on my computer and printed it out. I also used some Ranger Distress Ink on the sentiment in Tea Dye. The tree is from the Fanciful Swirl Alphabet set from HA. I just stamped it 3 times. The butterflies are colored with Copic Markers.
I'm going to be submitting this to the Get Sketchy challenge #42. I really enjoy doing challenges because the sketch gives me direction on how to layout a card nicely. (Plus you get the chance to win fun stuff!)
Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by.
Simple Flowers
Hi Everyone!
It's been a few days since I've posted but I have 2 new cards to post so that makes up for it! ;)
First up is a very simple one I made with one of my favorite stamps from Impression Obsession called Simple Daisies. I also used an HA butterfly from the Winged Friends digi set and the sentiment is from the HA Singing Birds Set. I found the ribbon at a dollar bin at Joann's. I colored the daisies with Prismacolor Premiere colored pencils and the butterfly with Copic Markers.
Enjoy!

Father's Day
Happy Father's Day weekend everyone!
Today's card is one that I will be giving to my father-in-law tomorrow. I really like how it turned out because I was very inspired by one that Lisa McKinney made on her blog. It's a great blog - you should check it out.
The sentiment was a digi freebie from http://papermakeupstamps.blogspot.com/. Pretty cool, huh?
I hope you enjoy this card!

You Light Up My Life
Hi there!
I'm so excited to post this card. I love the freebie digi lamp stamp that was drawn by Tiffany Richards. She's so talented! She is also holding her first sketch challenge at her other site, Tiffany Doodles. She'll be holding it once a month and the first sketch is awesome! She also has a group over at Flickr. So visit Tiffany. You won't be disappointed!
I used colored pencils to color the lamp and Ranger Distress Ink in Broken China on the sentiment.
Enjoy!

Peacock and Butterfly
For my 2nd card of the evening, I used free clipart from Arthur's Free Clipart for the peacock. The butterfly is from HA's Winged Friends digi set.
I colored the peacock with Prismacolor colored pencils and the butterfly with Copics. I added gems to both. The background paper is from Memory Box.
I'm going to give this card to a co-worker friend who has been going through a very rough time lately. I hope it puts a smile on her face. She most definitely needs one. :)
Happy Flowers
Good evening everyone!
My first card to show you is one I created for Kazan's Sketch Challenge #54 over at 2 Sketches 4 You. I've only used these flower stamps once before so I was due to use them again.
The stamps are from Studio G. I stamped the brown, 2nd layer paper with a vine background stamp from Inkadinkado and then embossed it. I used Ranger Distress Ink in Fired Brick on the circle and the sentiment is from HA's Singing Birds set.

Sunshine Yellow
Hi everyone!
Rough, rough week but it's coming to a close and that's a really good thing.
On a much better note, tonight's card is one of my favorites. I'm not big into yellow but this works. This is the 3rd card I did for sketch #67 over at Cardpatterns. I really like the yellow and blue combo.
The flowers are stamps from Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from the HA "You're The Best" set. I colored the flowers with Copics and then added some gems and pearls. Hope you like it!

Rubber Ducky
Hi everyone!
Tonight's card was a joy to make for a few reasons. I enjoy making cards for sketch blogs (this one is for sketch #67 over at CardPatterns) but I also have to say I love the rubber duckies.
I used a few different elements here. The girl in the tub is from one of my favorite digi stamp creators - Heather. I found her over at her Etsy.com shop, digistampcharacters. Like I said in a previous post, she is so talented!
The rubber ducks were from clipart I found and the sentiment is from HA's Fanciful Swirl Alphabet set.
I hope you enjoy it!

Sunday Part 2
Hi again!
This next card is for the sketch blog contest over at Get Sketchy. It's sketch #41. I like how this one turned out. It's quite different from what I would usually do. It reminds me almost of fireworks the way the flowers are bursting out.
All of the flowers and the background vine stamp are from Inkadinkado. The smallest flower is from the Hero Arts You're The Best set and the sentiment is from the Fanciful Swirl Alphabet set.
Thanks for looking!
Cheerful Butterflies
Good evening everyone!
I've got 2 cards to show you tonight. The first one I made for my mother-in-law to give to her friend's daughter for 8th grade graduation. I can also use it in a sketch blog contest. This one is over at Cardpatterns. It's sketch #67. I hope Emily likes it!
The butterflies are from the Hero Arts Winged Friends digi set and the sentiment is from the Hero Arts Fanciful Swirl Alphabet set.

Happy Friday!
Did I mention it was a helluva week? Yup, it was. Today wasn't bad but I've noticed over the last few years that when I have a Monday off for a holiday, the rest of the week is just plain odd. There is no other way to explain it.
On the other hand, I have another new card to post tonight. This is another one using the little girl from the Pure Innocence collection of digi stamps from digistampcharacters on Etsy.com. Heather is so creative and she has drawn this sweet little girl doing all sorts of things and I have a feeling I will have a hard time not buying all of them from her!
I also used Hero Arts digi butterfly stamps from the Winged Friends set and the sentiment is using the Fanciful Swirl Alphabet set. I also used Copic Markers on the girl, flowers and butterflies.
Hope you enjoy it!

Another Thursday Card
This next card is using 2 stamps from Hero Arts. The girl is from the Sparkle Clear set "You're the Best" and the sentiment is from the set, "Cupcakes". I also colored the girl using Copics. For the 2 balloons I used Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Dye and Broken China.
I hope you enjoy them both!
Thursday Cards
Hi Everyone!
I hope you are all doing well. Me, well, it's been an emotional week full of ups and down in both my personal and professional life and I'm hoping both will even out soon. In the meantime, I've made a couple cards which are below.
The first one is featuring a digi stamp from a woman named Heather at digistampcharacters. I found her on Etsy.com and I think she is extremely talented. This cute girl is from the Pure Innocence line. The sentiment is from the Fanciful Alphabet Swirl set from Hero Arts and I colored the stamp with Copics.
